Re: How do you like the new web design of The Plugin Site?
Thanks for your suggestions, promytius! I also hate some of these ultramodern web sites, which bomb you with animations and effects while you scroll down. I will tried to avoid that and let the viewer keep his peace of mind :-). When adding more top menu items the design breaks when viewed on tablet...

Re: Expand a Selection Randomly
Sorry, I do not know anything like that. What effect do you want to achieve with it? Some kind of torn edges effect?

How do you like the new web design of The Plugin Site?
The Plugin Site received a new web design to make it better viewable on desktop as well as mobile devices. So far only the front page was redesigned and the other pages were adjusted to the new look. In 2017 we will be redesigning more pages. Please let us know how you like the new design, what you ...

Lightroom Bug causing problems for ElementsXXL
Unfortunately there is a bug in Lightroom 6.3 up to 6.7, which blocks the update of externally edited images. This is the case for ElementsXXL's "Render 16-bit to Lightroom" feature, but also for any other external editor. When editing a Lightroom image with an external application (via the "Photo >...

Re: Nothing installing in PSE15.
Sorry, but ElementsXXL 2 does not support Photoshop Elements 15. You have to upgrade to ElementsXXL 4 to use it in Photoshop Elements 15. I sent you an email with the upgrade information.

Re: PSE 9 or 14
The Pen tool menu item in ElementsXXL is just a shortcut for activating the Text On Path tool, which is available in PSE 11 and higher. So without ElementsXXL all you have to do is to run PSE 14, click on the Type tool, then click the Tool Option button and on the Tool Options window click the "Text...

Re: 8-bit/16-bit workflow
ElementsXXL 4.01 was just released with the new "Render 16-bit to Lightroom" and "Lightroom Options" menu item on the Render menu. You have to activate the three check boxes on the Lightroom Option dialog to get the full functionality.

Re: Pluginsite Panel
Sorry, it only works with Photoshop CC (2013) and earlier. Adobe abandoned flash panels in Photoshop CC 2014, so it does not work there. I just updated the product page to make it more clear.

Sorry, but Photoshop Elements 15 (and also older versions) do no include the OilPaint filter as a hidden feature, so ElementsXXL cannot make available.

Re: 8-bit/16-bit workflow
I have been working on making the Rendering workflow faster today. So in ElementsXXL 4.01 it will be: 1. Start in Lightroom to perform major edits on raw image, go to Elements. 2. Prepare 8-bit document 3. Add Smart Filters, choose filters and edit 4. Save the 8-bit prepared document for any future ...

Re: Curve panel causes crash on PSE 15
The Classic Curves, which are a hidden feature of Photoshop Elements itself, are a bit buggy. ElementsXXL already blocks some Classic Curves dialog interactions to avoid crashes, but it could be that Classic Curves gets more buggy with every new Photoshop Elements release, which requires more fixes....

Re: 8-bit/16-bit workflow
16-bit editing has a big advantage when you need to make extreme corrections, e.g. when a photo was underexposed and you need to increase the brightness dramatically. If your photo has large area gradients, e.g. a sky that goes from dark blue to bright blue, it is usually also better to edit with 16...

Sorry to hear that. Please uninstall ElementsXXL, then run Photoshop Elements, switch it to Expert Mode and close it again. Then install ElementsXXL again and run Photoshop Elements. Please let me know if this helped.

Re: Curve panel causes crash on PSE 15
Please let me know the steps for making the Curves adjustment layer crash. I need to be able to reproduce it. The CMYK and Saturation curves are only available in the Curves Filter and only appear for RGB images. Unfortunately there is no workaround for the Puppet Warp problem. Please press the Ente...

Re: Camera Profiles
By the way, if you use Photoshop and install your raw profiles in the default system folder for profiles, you can also choose your own profiles in Adobe Camera Raw. That does not work in Photoshop Elements though.

Re: Camera Profiles
At the moment MetaRaw uses Adobe Camera Raw opening the converted files in Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, so it depends on Adobe Camera Raw what profile the final images uses. That's why you should set the same camera profile in MetaRaw and Adobe Camera Raw or a wider profile in MetaRaw (e.g. Pro...
