Re: Welcome

HaraldHeim wrote:Thanks for letting me know! I fixed it now and uploaded a new demo version.
Unfortunately the new 64-bit demo crashes in filterSelectorStart before the dialog is shown,
although the previous version worked perfectly. :(

Additionally the Repeat Effect command fails for the 32-bit version.

ColorStyler and Paint.net

The 64-bit demo is missing the 'Demo' text in the title which prevents PSFilterPdn from replacing the 32-bit version in the menu.

Any more suggestions please and thanks. :(
Code 740 means the program must be run with Administrator privileges.

Re: Photoshop Filters Host SDK

The xero filters (along with most other FilterMeister filters) do not support scripting, the repeat effect command works if the contents of the FilterRecord->parameters and entrypoint data pointer are saved. Filter Factory filters do not use the FilterRecord->parameters handle for some reason (even ...

Re: Gimp PSPI bugs

PSPI does not work is the latest version of GIMP on Windows, so most people would probably use XNView or another host that is more compatible anyway. :D

Gimp PSPI bugs

The preview is not scaled No color dialogs The filterCase field is not set The first issue is the most critical and also the hardest to fix as GIMP does not seem to allow a copy of the current layer to be scaled in memory without being added to the image. Although the plugin could make it work afte...

I tested that filter a while back and it ran perfectly under Paint.NET.
Unfortunately the demo has expired so I am unable to test it anymore. :(

Re: Selection masking bug?

Your improvements sound good. Nice to see another plugin host support 64-bit plugins. I noticed that the plugin category node needs to be clicked to expand and show the plugins of that category. This needs to be done each time you launch PSFilterPdn. It would be more convenient if PSFilterPdn would...

Re: Selection masking bug?

The double click functionality is present in the latest version of PSfilterPdn, additionally PiMI resources are now used as a fallback if no PiPL resources are found and bunch of other optimizations. Unfortunately this bug still exists, and I have no idea what could be causing it. :( Also PSFilterPd...

Re: Selection masking bug?

The zeroed maskRect should explain the behaviour you are seeing with our plugins. Please consider already setting maskRect before AdvanceState is called. Your plugin host seems to be much more compatible than PSPI. Good work! Setting the maskRect to equal the filterRect still does not cause the plu...

Re: Selection masking bug?

Great to hear that Paint.NET is finally able to use Photoshop plugins. Will mention that in the next Plugin Newsletter issue. I will also add support for it to our plugin installer. Are you developing the plugin host yourself or do you use an available component? It would be great if PSFilterPdn wo...

Selection masking bug?

There seems to be a bug with the selection masking not applying with certain hosts, e.g. PSFilterPdn or Photobie. The masking code that PSFilterPdn uses works for other plugins but the mask is not used by ColorWasher, LightMachine etc. The mask works correctly in PhotoLine using ColorWasher 2.06 unl...
