I am new to digital and just purchased a Minolta 5400 scanner. The scanner soft ware has color correction for rgb, but the ps elements which came with it does not. There is a hue, saturation field and it is possible to correct color using histograms, but is is not possible to see the effect as it is applied. Is there a plug in that will provide true rgb correction with sliders and a preview screen?
I realise color correction should be done at the scanning stage, but sometimes I miss a little or I decide I want some creative effect.

Photoshop Elements should have a dialog for adjusting RGB values, too, but I can't tell you where it is located, because I don't have Elements currently installed.
Anyway, if you want a more professional color correction software, have a look at ColorWasher at http://thepluginsite.com/products/photowiz/
