Blended Images

Postby chaitereye » Thu Jan 31, 2008 6:12 am

Is there an easy way to take a small image, put it into a larger image & then blend the edges so it looks like it's all the same image?
Hope I'm explaining it right.

Blending two images

Postby sheilah660 » Fri Feb 29, 2008 11:10 pm

I don't know if I am doing this correctly but I create the second layer by pasting it in then pick up the color of the area of the original pic and use this as your color. Then airbrush edges.

Hope this helps!
Sheila

Thanks for your reply but it didn't work.
They are two separate images.
All I really want to do is fade the edges of the smaller one.

Hello, EYE-lene......
Here is an easy 6 step blending tutorial that might be helpful.
The tutorial is for PSP, but it would be easy to use in Photo Shop, as well.

In Photoshop, create a new layer mask, then use the Gradient tool to create a black-to-white blend on the mask. Drag in the direction you wish it to go.
